F.A.Q

Why do should I have a survey if the mortgage valuation has been done?

A mortgage valuation is for the lender. It only checks if the property is worth the loan amount for the lenders secuirity. A survey protects your investment by identifying hidden defects, repair needs, and maintenance risks before you commit to purchasing.

What happens if you find problems during the survey?

We explain any issues clearly, advise you on their seriousness, and recommend your next steps focusing on solutions, not just problems.

Will the survey tell me if I should renegotiate the price?

While we don’t provide property valuations, if the survey highlights significant defects, it can often support a renegotiation. We can also suggest if specialist quotes (like roofing or damp) should be obtained.

Can I attend the survey?

We usually recommend letting the surveyor focus fully during the inspection.
However, after the report is delivered, we offer a free online meeting to walk you through the findings personally.
